Tennessee’s State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) is a statewide program that provides free and objective counseling. SHIP staff give assistance to persons with questions about Medicare and other related health insurances. SHIP staff provide answers on any Medicare topic: Original Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicare Part D, Medigap, Medicaid and Low Income Programs. Ask about the Medicare Savings Plans (QMB, SLMB, QI 1). These programs allow individuals to qualify for assistance from the State to pay for their Medicare Part B Premiums.
